Hello Cocky

At sunset yesterday in Sydney, while having a cleansing ale at Circular Quay, Sydney, I noticed a mohawk man walking along the waterfront near the Opera House. With no time to check my exposure, I leapt from my chair, and as I snapped the first image some person blocked my view. The same thing happened with the second shot. The next two frames were slightly out of focus. Bastard! I quickly moved along a few tables and all of a sudden I had a clear view of the fuzz, so I managed to snap off two quick pictures in succession. “Hooray!” I yelled like a crazed animal.

Roast On A Post

A silhouette I snapped of a backlit pelican roosting on a post in the afternoon sun on the Gold Coast. If it continues to sit in the sun all day, it will end up looking like a roast on a post. Hooray. Queensland, Australia.

Not A Drop Of Rain

Not a drop of rain on the Gold Coast last night, but the sprinkler system worked very well. Say hooray for water. Things are dry in my neck of the woods. However, the weather experts in Queensland have continually told the public it was going to rain. It has, but only a few drops. We want rain! Queensland, Australia.

Lizard With A View

Snapped a lizard on a rock, but it’s not flat out drinking. It’s at Point Danger (near Coolangatta) simply enjoying an early morning view of the Pacific Ocean. Coolangatta is on the Queensland and New South Wales boarder in Australia.

The Magic Hour

The early morning light today on the Gold Coast was simply wonderful. Magnificent. A magic hour. I love the heart-thumping moment when I point the Nikon, see the powerful sun-rays reflecting off the water and I just happen to have the correct exposure. Hey, what beauty. Queensland, Australia.
