Maybe the ANZAC flame I snapped at the dawn service in Southport yesterday morning is asking the question…”WHY?”

Lest We Forget
Before the quiet, peaceful moments before dawn, after a warning to the huge crowd who attended the Anzac Day dawn service in Southport, the sickening sound of gunshots and bombs echoed across the calm waters of the Broadwater on the Gold Coast in a mock battle to pay tribute to and remember those who served.

Anzaz Day – Recording History
Snapping and recording history of the Anzac Day Dawn Service as moon goes down in Anzac Park, Southport. May those men and women who have died all rest proudly in the knowledge of their achievement, and may we and our successors in that heritage prove worthy of their sacrifice. Gold Coast, Australia
Coming Up Of The Sun
Face Of A War Hero
For Anzac day last year I was at the Dawn Service in the beach resort of Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. This man, a war hero, is just one of the images I snapped on that day. Tomorrow, Monday, I’ll be attending the Dawn Service in Southport on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Make sure you gather your family and friends and pay tribute to the people who matter. The people who fought to keep us safe. (Reposted from Anzac day last year).
I Will Never Forget
This is the wonderful sight that greeted me at Elephant Rock (Currumbin) just before sunrise today. More that 10,000 recycled plastic bottles were used to make poppies to create this spectacular sight in readiness for the Anzac Day service on Monday. To really appreciate this, GO the FULL SCREEN. Queensland, Australia.
