Penguins Krill Hunt

Penguins swim fast when they are on the hunt for krill in Antarctica. They dive deep and suddenly leap out of the water, take a breath and plop back in again. As I did, most people on the National Geographic Explorer tried to snap one or two of them out of the water. I concentrated a lot over a few days to try and snapped as many as I could in one picture. I was pleased with this. Two shots – one out of focus and this one which is only slightly out of focus. On that day the water was a rich blue. Amazing. Hooray. Look at the cute little bastards go.dsc_7015-1

Snapping Pictures In My Undies

If you suddenly wake up on the National Geographic Explorer in the Antarctic Peninsular in sub-zero temperatures, and you pop your head through the curtain to see what is happening with the weather, make sure you don’t rush outside in your undies (underwear) to take a picture as I did. But when you haven’t got time to get dressed you have no choice. Yah, but what a sight it was. You beauty!dsc_0455
